Camping week at Papoose Pond 7/26 - 8/2

We arrived pretty late to our campsite on Saturday and Sunday morning Grammy & Grampy came to visit us.

The kids really enjoyed the heated pool w/two shallow ends!

Sunday night they had a sing-a-long type concert with a local children's signer songwriter Rick Charette, the kids had so much fun! Aubrey was a dancing fool and we had a hard time keeping her off the stage! I got a really cute video of her dancing to the song "I love mud" that I'll try to upload later.

We didn't spend too much time at the beach area because it was pretty well flooded out due to all the rain we've had dumped on us lately. The beach was pretty wet and muddy, but of course the kids didn't mind!

For some reason Sam and Aubrey were playing with the dogs leashes a lot, they especially enjoyed dragging eachother around with them.

Getting ready to head over the the carousel. We had to go nice and early Tuesday night because we kept missing it and Sam was so sad, it only ran for one hour from 6-7pm.

So, the next bunch of pictures are from Storyland. We went on Wednesday and thankfully had beautiful weather!

Aubrey in the big pumpkin, so cute, but I'll have to tell you that shortly after these pictures were taken she fell out the backside of the pumpkin! She was fine but scared me!

Sam and I went on the swan boats, Sam thought they were bumper swans and kept ramming into people.

Sam really like the whale ride, Aubrey, once again was not so sure!

They had a huge sand box that amused Aubrey for awhile when she got sick of being carried around (she had well missed her nap by this time!) She actually played with this little tag she found on the ground for a long time, she even shared her new toy with another little girl playing in the sand. Why pay for toys when things like this make them so happy?!

As we were leaving Sam found this big sand pit with big trucks in it and was very disappointed when we couldn't play too long b/c the park was closing.

The drive home was a quiet one!

The next night at the carousel after a day of RAIN!! We spent the day in Freeport after a very wet morning and fun at the laundromat!

So, here's the final picture from camping, pretty fitting picture of my nature boy! He absolutely couldn't get enough of peeing and pooping outside! You read that right, he kept pooping outside too!! YUCK YUCK YUCK!! He would tell us he was just going to pee and then we'd find him pooping squatting by a tree...he's too much sometimes! We'll see if it's hard for him to go back to a toilet.
