Camping trip 8/14-8/17 Pawtuckaway State Park

We started off our long weekend camping trip to Pawtuckaway State Park by playing in the lake at the beach while Mike set up our camp site. Evan came along with us for the afternoon...which was great so Sam had a buddy to play in the water with, they had a lot of fun!

Also staying at Pawtuckaway for the weekend were Jenn, Kevin, Kelsey and Olivia. We started Friday off at the beach as well...unfortunately bacteria levels were high in the water so we couldn't go in...much easier said than done...the kids really wanted to go in, so we didn't stay down there too long.

Morning playtime in the camper

On Saturday Yiayia and Grandpop decided to join us at Pawtuckaway and brought their kayaks with them. Sam was so excited to go for a ride!!

I just thought this was pretty funny, Mike inside our fire ring cage trying to start a fire...I think he's a bit big!

Sam's new favorite thing, his razor scooter. He's really good at it too, he flies down the hills...next time we need to remember his helmet! He ran into a few much older boys (probably in their teens) with the exact same scooter and they were pretty impressed...Sam tried to do a few trick moves for them and ended up on his bum, very cute though.


Sam said he wanted to take a nap in the camper while we waited for the rain to let up.

Corn on the cob was a big hit at dinner, I think Aubrey would have eaten the cob too if she could chew through it!

The weather on our last day was so beautiful that we decided to hit the beach before heading home
Kevin, Jenn, Kelsey and Olivia joined us there as well
